When I was around 14 years old my younger brother started to take drum lessons.
He was very serious about it so our parents bought him a drumkit so he could pratice at home.

Now, with a drumkit in our livingroom, I wanted to try playing aswell and found out that playing drums was real fun. I never took any lessons but played along to some of my death-metalalbums, and learned how to play that way.

Later I formed my first band, Sacrilege,  with a couple of friends and recorded two demos in 1994.

Eventually we got signed by a small label (Black Sun Records) from
Gothenburg, Sweden on which we released two albums in 1995 and 1996.

We were very influenced by the Gothenburg scene at that time and listened a lot to At the Gates and In Flames among other bands. So when I got asked to join In Flames as a permanent member in 1998 I was totally stunned. Since then I have participated on 6 studio albums, 3 EP:s, 1 livealbum, 1 Live DVD and played far more than 1000 shows with In Flames.
